Qualification Summary
To qualify for the GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying understanding of Information Technology (IT) standards and technologies to provide customers with solution options based on needs assessment and in accordance with an organization’s standards and contract specifications;
2) Working with others to develop Standard Operating Procedures for IT processes using industry standards;
3) Gathering, assembling, analyzing, and translating data into information that yields conclusions from which solutions may be developed; and
4) Performing cost-benefit analysis on current and proposed IT solutions to derive cost effectiveness and return on investment of proposed solutions. NOTE: This experience must be fully supported by the information in your resume. Your experience must also reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. To qualify for the GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying understanding of complex Information Technology (IT) standards and technologies to provide technical advisory services to customers based on needs assessment and in accordance with an organization’s standards, policies, regulations, and contract specifications;
2) Developing Standard Operating Procedures for IT processes using industry standards;
3) Performing cost-benefit analysis on current and proposed IT solutions to derive cost effectiveness and return on investment of proposed solutions;
4) Coordinating resolution of reported problems with other IT specialists and contractors; and
5) Developing local IT policies, regulations, and guidance to meet an organization’s customer needs. NOTE: This experience must be fully supported by the information in your resume. Your experience must also reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
